The blank the rest of the brand is measured against. Cut from heavyweight extra-long staple cotton, compacted and pre-shrunk so the shape you buy is the shape you keep.
Design DNA
Six decisions that make a BARQ garment identifiable with the logo covered. This is what the brand is built on.
265 GSM compact single jersey in extra-long staple cotton. Heavy enough to hold a line, finished soft enough to wear immediately.
A structured V-neck, set shallow, ribbed with 5% elastane and taped across the point so it sits flat instead of splaying open.
The seam sits slightly forward of the natural shoulder line and is reinforced with tape. Visible from the front, and it stops the sleeve twisting.
Foundation Fit. Boxy through the body, clean dropped shoulder, hem at the hip. Deliberate on a lean frame, relaxed on a muscular one.
Side-seamed with twin-needle hems and bartacks at the stress points. Compacted and pre-shrunk before it reaches you.
A woven interior label reading Built Through Discipline. No printed neck transfer to crack. Only the wearer sees it.
The launch assortment
Three styles cut from the same blank. Colour depth is concentrated on the hero rather than spread thin across the range.
Each product belongs to a design family. The family describes how the garment is decorated and what it is for.
The flagship essential. A single tonal chest mark, a clean back, and the whole argument resting on the blank itself.
The identity piece. Arabic typography worked into the upper back, front left bare. Language as texture rather than slogan.
The philosophy piece. Built Through Discipline set across the back, where the wearer commits to it without performing it.

Discipline is a design constraint before it is a slogan. It is what makes the front of a shirt empty when there is room to fill it, and what keeps a colour off the launch sheet when the range does not need it.
BARQ opens with three styles and three colours. Not because the ideas ran out — six design families are drawn and specified — but because a first drop that is focused is worth more than one that is large.
